Authorities took action after citizens complained about domestic helpers being lured by strangers. Inspectors in Kuwait have detained two Filipinos as they were 'enticing' Filipina housemaids to escape from their employers' households, Kuwait Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced on Sunday. In a statement issued by MoI, the pair confessed to the crime during interrogations, in addition to other similar offences committed in various regions of the country. "The duo admitted that they had encouraged Filipina domestic workers to escape." Starting April 10, Tuesday only those who need immediate renewal of their passports will be prioritised. However, these parties need to send an email to the consulate along with proof that they need their passport on an urgent basis. People who fall in this category were indicated in the same memo.
